ELECTRICAL ESTIMATOR | PROJECT MANAGER | SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Wentworth Executive Recruiting has been secured for an exclusive/retained search for one of the leading Electrical Commercial Contractors in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our client specializes in commercial construction, tenant improvements, healthcare, hospitality, infrastructure, service, and design-build electrical projects.

Responsibilities

Electrical Estimating

• Review plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate and competitve project estimates and proposals.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and labor analysis using McCormick estimating software.
• Assist with value engineering and design-build solutions. Attend job walks and pre-bid meetings.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare scope clarifications, assumptions, and exclusions for proposal packages.

Project Management

• Lead projects from award through close-out, including scheduling, manpower planning, procurement, and financial oversight.
• Manage subcontrators, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and billings to maintain scope control and project margin.
• Oversee IBEW Local 6 labor relations on-site, including crew coordination, jurisdictional compliance, and adherence to the San Francisco PLA where applicable.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with contract drawings, specifications, NEC code, AHJ requirements, and the companies safety standards.
• Coordinate PG & E service work, utility applications, and inspection processes for projects requiring utility involvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 yrs. of commercial electrical estimating and project managment experience in San Francisco Bay Area.
• BA|BS Construction Management, Business, Engineering degree a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple simultaneous project across different phases and delivery methods (lump sum, T & M, design-build, prevailing wage).
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, NEC code, construction drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Procore and Bluebeam required. Experience with McCormick estimating software a plus.
• Familiarity with IBEW Local 6 collective bargaining agreement, dispatch procedures, and San Francisco PLA requirements strongly preferred.
• Experience coordinating PG&E service work, utility applications, and permit processes in the Bay Area.
• Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience managing job cost reports, change order logs, and monthly billing.
• Experience with healthcare/HCAI, hospitality, infrastructure, service work, or design-build projects a plus.
• OSHA 30 Certification or equivalent safety training required.
• Valid California driver's license required.
• Must currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area to be considered for this career opportunity.
