Responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation services to patients and clients of Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. This role ensures timely arrivals and departures while maintaining a high standard of customer service and safety.

Schedule
This position offers a flexible schedule based on operational needs and employee preference. Shifts may vary, with start times as early as 7:00 AM. Typical shifts may include 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, or later end times such as 5:00 PM or 5:30 PM, depending on the assigned route and daily transportation needs.
Essential Functions
Follow established Care Van schedules and coordinate effectively with staff regarding all transportation needs
Provide prompt, courteous, and compassionate assistance to clients during transport
Ensure safe operation of the vehicle at all times in accordance with hospital policies and traffic regulations
Maintain accurate vehicle mileage and service logs
Communicate any vehicle maintenance or safety concerns to the appropriate staff in a timely manner
Adhere to all safety protocols and respond appropriately in emergency situations
Support a positive patient and client experience through professional and respectful interactions
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Medical Examiner's Certificate for Fitness to Drive [C-DOTMED] - National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners required Personal Drivers License (New Hampshire) - New Hampshire Division of Motor Vehicles required Experience Patient Transportation Experience 1-2 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Ability to work independently and/or as a team member. - Excellent customer service skills. - Strong communication skills. - Ability to perform work in a creative, energetic and self-directive manner. - Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
