The Analyst – Technical Accounting will be responsible for the accounting of the Company’s equity transactions, including stock-based compensation, and forecasting and budgeting thereof. In addition, the Analyst – Technical Accounting will assist the Manager – Technical Accounting in researching and documenting technical accounting analyses of complex transactions and monitoring and implementing new accounting standards. The position will also participate in the preparation of the Company’s SEC filings and other financial statements. The position offers many opportunities to showcase analytical and technical accounting skills to various members of Finance Leadership and provides great networking opportunities across The Wendy’s Company.
Responsibilities- Accounting, forecasting and budgeting for all equity transactions, including stock-based compensation.
- Assist with preparation and review of 10-K and 10-Q filings with the SEC, including financial statement footnotes and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A).
- Assist with ad hoc analysis on a regular basis, including preparation and review of financial information for Finance and Senior leadership, lenders and governmental agencies.
- Assist with technical accounting research related to new business transactions, as well as application of new FASB pronouncements.
- Assist in special projects, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and train new team members.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
- Certified Public Accountant is preferred.
- 1-2 years accounting/audit experience with Big 4 firm and/or other relevant financial reporting experience.
- Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position.* The target annual bonus for this role is 7.5% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance. Director and above roles are also eligible to participate in the Company’s long-term incentive award program.
