Job Purpose:
As a self-motivated, high-energy member of the WEMCO team, you will be responsible for developing new customers and supporting existing accounts within your assigned territory while serving as a key representative of the WEMCO brand.
This role emphasizes building strong customer relationships, promoting WEMCO’s reputation for quality and service, and delivering solution-based offerings. You will also be responsible for identifying long-term growth opportunities, documenting those opportunities, and helping develop and execute plans to achieve sustained growth within your territory.
You will play a critical role in expanding WEMCO’s presence as a leader in engineered material handling and automated equipment solutions, while also developing customers that can utilize WEMCO’s full range of services, including:
- Large-scale fabrication
- Precision machining
- Field metrology and surveying
You will support customers across industries including pulp and paper, oil and gas, heavy industry, aerospace, and transportation—helping improve safety, productivity, and operational efficiency.
Employment type:
Full-time (Approximately 75% outside sales, 25% office-based)
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Making sales calls to end users and developing new business opportunities
- Growing territory sales to meet company goals and objectives
- Learning and effectively presenting WEMCO’s product lines, features, and benefits
- Promoting and selling WEMCO’s contract manufacturing services
- Assisting with catalog product quoting and working closely with internal estimators
- Quoting all service and inspection work within your territory and submitting proposals to management for review and approval
- Coordinating with production teams and project managers after project awards
- Maintaining involvement throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction
- Supporting contract changes and customer negotiations as needed
- Providing territory updates and sales presentations to management
- Performing other duties as assigned
Activity Reporting & Accountability
- Customer visits and sales calls
- Active opportunities and pipeline development
- Quotes issued and follow-up status
- Key account activity and territory development efforts
Reporting format and frequency (e.g., weekly activity reports, pipeline summaries, or other tools) will be established by management and may evolve as systems and processes develop.
Consistent and accurate reporting is a core expectation of this role and will be used to evaluate performance and support territory growth.
Travel & Work Expectations
- Travel is required approximately 2–3 weeks per month, primarily within your assigned territory
- You will be expected to work from the WEMCO headquarters approximately 1 week per month, focusing on quoting, administrative tasks, and customer follow-up
- Additional travel may be required to attend annual conferences, training sessions, and other events as assigned by management
Job Requirements

- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Familiarity with the assigned regional territory
- Preferred residence in Eastern Washington or Northern Idaho
Physical Demands:
This role includes work in both shop and field environments, indoors and outdoors. The position requires frequent standing, walking, and use of hands; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds; and the ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and reaching. Extended hours and driving time are expected.
