We’re looking for a Test Technician who brings focus, pride, and methodical discipline to the table. In this role, you’ll be responsible for verifying system functionality, identifying issues before they reach the field, and working side-by-side with engineering, software, and service teams to ensure every control panel and system performs exactly as expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
• Test design and operation of new controls and modifications to existing controls.
This includes equipment and software setup, simulation of plant operations, following & completing test procedures/checklists, test & review all aspects of the customers product including operation and design - cosmetic and functionality, and approve product as meeting WEM and customer needs and expectations.
• Assist with customer phone support as needed.
• Support Field Service Technicians as needed.
• Support customer factory acceptance testing and perform training during internal customer visits.
• Recommend and implement improvements to test procedures.
• Recommend enhancements to standard products.
• Perform testing and configuration of parts as needed.
• Assist in training of other employees performing test or service functions.
• Needs to be able to work independently on projects from start
• Adhere to all WEM Automation policies and procedures.
Experience & Background
- 1–3 years of experience in electrical testing, control panel work, or automation support.
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in electronics, automation, or a related field.
- Understanding of basic PLC logic, HMI operation, and industrial control principles.
Skills & Tools
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, industrial wiring standards, and testing tools (multimeters, simulation devices, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and IO diagrams.
- Understanding of PC-based software testing (HMI screens, alarms, user flows) is a plus.

Additional Details
- Work Location: In-office, Pewaukee-based role within WEM’s test and production area.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand, crouch, and lift up to 25 lbs; use hand tools, ladders, and test devices as needed.
- Work Environment: Moderate noise; combination of production floor and lab setting.
