Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Litigation Paralegal (also work in areas of real estate, business, guardianships, and more) to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process, ensuring that all legal documents are prepared accurately and efficiently. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Our office is open Monday through Thursday 8-5. Occasionally, we may have a need for work to take place on Fridays but have largely enjoyed enabling consistent three day weekends for our employees.
Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation and strategy.
- Assist attorneys in drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Manage case files and maintain organized records for easy access and retrieval.
- Coordinate project management tasks related to litigation timelines and deadlines.
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and compliance with court rules.
- Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts as necessary to gather information for cases.
- Prepare trial exhibits and assist in trial preparation as needed.
- Stay updated on developments in personal injury law and relevant legal practices.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Paralegal or in a law office setting is preferred. Preference of at least 3 years experience.
- Proficiency in legal case management software is a plus.
- Strong skills in legal drafting, proofreading, and organizational tasks are essential.
- Familiarity with litigation processes and personal injury law will be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
