What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installer - A/V, Control, Security, Fire Alarm Technology position at Welte Electronic Systems LLC?
We are hiring an installer for alarm, cctv, IP camera systems, access control, audio/video wiring and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Install low voltage cabling according to national electric code in both residential and commercial settings.
- Install and program new alarm and security/fire alarm systems, cctv, access control, and a/v equipment.
- Complete documentation of systems installed
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues..
- Conduct routine preventative maintenance and testing of systems..
- Monitor inventory of service parts and keep van stocked properly.
- Train customers how to use their new systems.
- Keep van neat, orderly and stocked.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience completing from start to finish security/fire alarm, access, CCTV, installation, maintenance, or other related lines of work.
- Proficiency in installing (bending) emt.
- Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50 lbs), climb ladders, work in challenging physical environments
- Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience pulling calbe and drilling holes
- Experience working with wireless technology
- Clean driving record.
- CTe C5/6 or L5 License required.

Prior to founding Welte Electronic Systems, Ted was a sales and service engineer for various stereo and test measurement manufacturers, including the Grundig Radio Company. Ted Welte holds an L-5 license, and has an engineering degree in electro and communications technology.
Our President, Paul Welte, has designed, installed and serviced projects beginning in 1995. Prior to joining Welte Electronic Systems, Paul spent ten years working in the financial services industry working in various capacities with hedge funds, brokerages, and investment banks. Paul has led projects ranging from voice systems, data networking, and needs analysis.
