Job Summary
Provides clinical and administrative leadership for the Outpatient program serving individuals with serious mental illness, emotional disturbances, and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities. Oversees staff performance, service delivery, and access to care while maintaining a limited caseload. Ensures services are compliant, person-centered, and aligned with recovery-focused practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate outpatient staff
- Oversee assessments, service planning, and care coordination
- Ensure timely access to services and continuity of care
- Monitor service delivery, documentation, and compliance standards
- Maintain a limited caseload, including treatment planning and therapy as needed
- Coordinate referrals to internal and external providers
- Collaborate with community partners (courts, schools, healthcare, DHS)
- Ensure adherence to Medicaid, DSM, and regulatory requirements
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and administrative oversight, training, and performance management
- Conduct regular supervision and support staff development
- Ensure staff compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate clinical experience
- Prior supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid guidelines, DSM criteria, and therapeutic practices
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Combination of office and community-based work
- Prolonged computer use and regular movement (standing/walking)
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally
