Home Care Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Care Aide to provide high-quality care to clients in their homes. In this role, you will assist clients with daily activities, ensure their safety, and support their independence and well-being. You will play an important role in helping clients remain comfortable and safe in their home environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
• Provide personal care and homemaking services according to the care plan
• Observe and report any changes in the client’s condition, behavior, or safety concerns
• Assist with medication reminders (no administration unless authorized)
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed, following dietary requirements
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe environment
• Assist with transfers and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment (if applicable)
• Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Document care provided and report any incidents according to agency policy

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in home care, assisted living, nursing home, or similar setting OR relevant certification (STNA, HHA, or CNA) is required
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and perform physical tasks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, responsible, and compassionate attitude
• Ability to follow care plans and agency policies
