Caregiver / Homemaker Companion – Southwest Florida
Welltrust Health Group is growing, and we are seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional caregivers and homemaker companions to support older adults throughout Southwest Florida.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping seniors remain comfortable, independent, and connected in their own homes. We are looking for caregivers who treat every client with patience, dignity, kindness, and respect.
Areas We Are Hiring
We are accepting applicants throughout Southwest Florida, including:
Cape Coral, Fort Myers, North Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples, and surrounding Southwest Florida communities.
Applicants may indicate the cities or counties they are available to serve.
Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
* Providing friendly companionship and meaningful social interaction
* Offering supervision and general safety support
* Preparing simple meals and snacks
* Performing light housekeeping and laundry
* Assisting with grocery shopping and household errands
* Providing transportation or accompanying clients to appointments
* Offering medication reminders
* Helping clients organize daily routines and activities
* Providing respite and support for family caregivers
* Reporting changes or concerns to the appropriate Welltrust Health Group representative
* Maintaining accurate visit notes and professional communication
This is a non-medical homemaker and companion position. Team members must provide services within the approved scope of their assigned role.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous caregiving, senior care, companion care, homemaking, customer service, or family caregiving experience is preferred
* Compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to follow a client care plan and company procedures
* Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
* Current automobile insurance when transporting clients or using a personal vehicle for assignments
* Ability to pass all required background screening
* CPR and First Aid certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
* Reliable smartphone and ability to communicate electronically
* Flexible availability, including some mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays
* Bilingual English and Spanish skills are a plus, but not required
Employment Details
* Part-time and flexible schedules
* Assignments based on caregiver availability, location, experience, and client needs
* Opportunities available throughout Southwest Florida
* Daytime, evening, weekend, and occasional respite assignments may be available
