WellTrans is a leading provider of non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services, dedicated to ensuring safe, reliable, and accessible transportation for healthcare needs across the state. We’re expanding our internal staff operations and seeking a dedicated Provider Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team.
The Provider Relations Specialist will serve as a key liaison between WellTrans and its network of transportation providers. This role is integral to ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and effective communication across our provider network. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and maintain systems for tracking, measuring, and reporting provider performance.
- Recruit, onboard, and support a robust statewide network of transportation providers.
- Ensure all provider operations comply with internal policies and contractual obligations.
- Stay informed on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in transportation management.
- Facilitate regular provider meetings to foster communication and resolve issues proactively.
- Coordinate communication with key stakeholders including state agencies, advisory boards, and providers.
- Assist in conducting vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Lead in-person training sessions such as CPR and PASS certification.
- Travel throughout assigned regions for provider visits, inspections, and training.
- Support the Network Operations with additional projects and duties as needed.
- Associate degree in Public Relations, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sales, customer relations, or provider relations role.
- Experience in healthcare or transportation industries is a plus.
- Experience with quality oversight or vehicle inspections preferred.

- Prolonged periods working at a computer and using a telephone.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and bend/reach to access office equipment and files.
- Must be able to drive long distances (up to 6 hours) for site visits and trainings.
- Ability to conduct repetitive data entry and engage in prolonged sitting and ambulation as required.
- Must be able to commute to office daily to fulfill daily job requirements.
