Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg | Full Time
Pay Range: $46.47 – $65.05 per hour
Shift: 12-hour Shifts
- Shift: (*6:45am – 7:15pm) or ( 6:45pm - 7:15am)*
- Bonuses:
- Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (3 years Acute Care RN experience)
- $5,000 Sign-On Bonus (1–3 years experience)About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) Unit. In this role, you will deliver holistic, patient-centered care using the Nursing Process while demonstrating strong clinical judgment, leadership, and a commitment to excellence.
You will play a key role in improving patient outcomes while working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Patient Population
You will provide care to a diverse patient population, including:
- Newborns and pediatric patients
- Adolescents and adults
- Geriatric patients
- Patients, staff, physicians, and the broader community
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards
- Monitor, evaluate, and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide patient and family education, including discharge planning
- Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards (Joint Commission/NPSGs)
- Identify and report quality or risk management concerns appropriately
- Participate in emergency response and disaster support, as required
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Acute Care preferred
- Demonstrated competency in Med/Surg or similar clinical setting
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required prior to patient care or within orientation period)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in patient care planning and documentation
- Knowledge of infection control, medication safety, and nursing best practices
- Basic computer and EMR proficiency
