Title: MRI Technician
Status: Part Time - 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday
Location: North Adams, MA
Salary: $41 - $58/hour

Overview:
A well-regarded healthcare facility in North Adams, MA is seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join their diagnostic imaging team. This part-time position plays a vital role in the delivery of quality imaging services and patient care. The role calls for a motivated professional capable of working independently while ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and upholding high technical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a broad range of MRI procedures using independent judgment and technical skill
- Ensure safe and compassionate patient care following departmental and hospital protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment, including PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, DR systems
- Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and hospital infection control practices
- Participate in educational activities and complete required competency validations
- May take on supervisory or mentoring responsibilities depending on departmental needs
Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA-approved program in MRI
- CPR certification required
- ARRT(MR) certification required within two years of hire
- Massachusetts Radiography License preferred
- ARRT(RTR) certification preferred
- Student training in MRI or diagnostic radiology accepted as minimum experience
Required Skills:
- Proficiency with MRI equipment and related systems (PACS, HIS, RIS)
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical setting
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and confidentiality
- Strong organizational and communication skills
