Position: Studio and Programming Manager

Hours: Part Time- 25-30 hours per week

Tasks include:
- Planning, implementing, and marketing all art related programs. The Wellsville Creative Arts Center studio currently offers adult classes, Boces (Art 360) classes and special events and workshops. Good marketing and advertising skills are key to this role. Community outreach and related knowledge is also needed for the successful implementation of programs.
- Maintaining studio flow and functionality in terms of kiln firings and glazes, clay store inventory and ordering.
- Managing the residency program and the interns weekly tasks.
- Coordinating, scheduling, and installing rotating art exhibitions in the WCAC cafe area. Maintaining and managing the exhibition area.
- Design Posters, write press releases and other advertising to promote the art center.
The ideal candidate would have:
-experience with ceramics processes and confidence in running a ceramics-centered studio.
- interest in all art and craft disciplines as well as graphic design.
-interest in arts administration/community outreach/management
-great communication and organizational skills
-leadership qualities and management experience
-eagerness to learn new things
-self-motivated
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
