Teacher's Aide
Job Description: As a Teacher's Aide in our Nova Academy, you support the teacher with both instructional and non-instructional duties to ensure a productive learning environment. In this position, you will provide support to the Academy staff and to clients aged 3-5 years old who struggle with mental diagnoses. You will also assist the van driver with overseeing the children when they are being dropped off or picked up. The position is scheduled to work 8am-12pm, Monday-Friday.
What you'll be doing:
- Provide behavioral modification and instruction to the clients in the program.
- Provide support of children enrolled in the Nova Academy.
- Complete administrative support duties such as recording attendance and signing children in/out of program.
- Assist in contacting families when a child is sick or needs to be picked up from the program.
- Oversee children that may need specialized attention, with guidance provided either by the Program Manager and/or the Therapist.
- Assist teachers with activities.
- Ride the van assisting clients while either being dropped off or picked up for the program.
- Assist in chaperoning during field trips.
- Assist in answering questions and distributing information to parents
- Escort children to restroom facilities when necessary.
- Assist in the distribution of meals.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
What we're looking for:
- High school diploma or GED
- Good driving record
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Prefer experience with children ages 3-5 years old
