Wellstar Health Systems has an opportunity as a Senior Benefits Analyst.
Full-Time Days
Responsible for responding to and/or resolving team members’ benefit questions and requests, especially as they relate to vendor systems and administration as well as our HRIS; processing benefit transactions, communicating with insurance vendors regarding eligibility and other benefit issues (particularly Alight, Benefit Wallet, YSA, etc.; inputting benefit data into and retrieving information from HRIS, Benefits Administration, Timekeeping and Payroll systems, managing benefit documentation, conducting benefit audits with vendors, monitoring interfaces with HRIS, supporting company acquisitions/mergers/implementations and helping with the new enrollment and open enrollment processes.
Qualifications
Required Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business Adminsitration; or other related field of study required; or equivalent experience and training.
Required Minimum Certification: No required certifications. PHR/SPHR and/or SCP-SHRM / CP-SHRM preferred.
CEBS a plus.
Required Minimum Experience: At least 6 - 8 years of work experience in employee benefits experience required. Additional experience in Human Recources, including compliance, a plus.
Required Minimum Skills:
- Basic knowledge of Employee Benefits; skills in communication, customer service, problem solving and benefits administration. Benefits compliance knowledge a plus. Experience in multitasking and prioritizing multiple responsibilities.
- Must possess good communication skills verbally and in writing, interact and work effectively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds, and be able to maintain safety in the workplace, including maintaining confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Basic knowledge of legislation and regulations affecting benefit plans such as ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, USERRA, FLSA, etc. Operating knowledge and experience with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point proficiency.
- Knowledge of HRIS (including Lawson), Benefits Administration Platforms (including Alight MyBenefits Portal / CBA Systems) and Payroll//Timekeeping systems (including Kronos) preferred.
