Job Summary
The Radiologic Assistant assists the X-Ray and MRI Technologist as they perform procedures on patients of all ages to provide physicians with data for diagnostic purposes. The Radiologic Assistant helps in the delivery of patients to the diagnostic and MRI sections.
Core Responsibilities And Essential Functions
Performs Diagnostic X-Ray imaging while adhering to department protocol and standards and applies the principles of ALARA to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others. Transports patients to the Diagnostic ER X-Ray and MRI sections. Uses Positive Patient Identification when retriving and transporting patients for radiologic studies. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.
Required Minimum Education
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Required Minimum Experience:
Minimum 2 Years Diagnostic Radiography/X-Ray Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:
Completion of Radiologic courses from an Accredited Radiography Program Ability to communicate verbally and written Possesses excellent patient/customer service skills
