The Springs Resort & Spa is seeking a reliable and motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our culinary team in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Prep Cook Responsibilities

Wash, peel, chop, dice, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipes and prep lists.

Prepare sauces, stocks, dressings, and foundational components of menu items.

Label, date, store, and rotate food products following FIFO and food safety standards.

Assist with receiving deliveries and properly storing products in accordance with storage guidelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, coolers, and kitchen equipment.
Line Cook Responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to established recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.

Execute station responsibilities efficiently (e.g., grill, sauté, fry, pantry) during service periods.

Monitor food quality, portioning, and consistency; communicate concerns or shortages to kitchen leadership.

Maintain a clean, organized workstation and properly care for knives, tools, and equipment.

Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP guidelines at all times.

Communicate clearly with kitchen teammates to ensure smooth service flow and timely ticket execution.
- Support overall kitchen operations and assist with additional duties as assigned.
Required / Preferred Experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or high-volume food service environment preferred.

Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques, knife skills, and kitchen safety practices.

Ability to follow recipes, production standards, and direction from culinary leadership.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

Ability to stand and move for extended periods throughout a shift.
