Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Software Engineer to join the Data Engineering team supporting the ServiceNow Core Platform. This role is ideal for a senior‑level engineer with a deep foundation in data, analytics, and SQL, who can work across evolving technologies and drive complex data solutions within a regulated enterprise environment. The successful candidate will lead moderately complex initiatives, contribute to platform strategy, and serve as a technical leader supporting analytics, reporting, and data‑driven use cases across ServiceNow and related platforms.
Responsibilities
· Lead moderately complex technical initiatives and deliverables within the ServiceNow Core Platform and data engineering domain
· Contribute to large‑scale planning, roadmaps, and platform strategy for analytics and data solutions
· Design, develop, test, debug, and document software solutions supporting data pipelines, reporting, and analytics
· Perform in‑depth evaluation of technical challenges, assessing data structures, performance, scalability, and governance considerations
· Solve ambiguous, non‑trivial data problems, translating business needs into scalable technical solutions
· Lead issue resolution efforts and serve as an escalation point for complex data or platform challenges
· Collaborate with peers, product partners, and mid‑level managers to align solutions with business and compliance requirements
· Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to less experienced engineers
· Support platform upgrades, deployments, and enhancements in an Agile delivery environment
Required Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in data, analytics, or software engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, education, training, or military experience
Exceptional data and analytics skills with a strong theoretical and practical foundation
Advanced SQL Server expertise, including: Complex and nested queries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), Recursive logic, Data modeling and performance optimization
Proven ability to solve ambiguous, complex data problems with minimal direction
Demonstrated ability to learn new tools quickly and independently
Desired Qualifications
Experience with ServiceNow analytics, reporting, or platform customization
Business Intelligence experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools (2 years preferred)
Exposure to full‑stack development (.NET, Angular)
Experience working in an Agile delivery environment (user stories, sprint planning, backlog refinement)
ServiceNow certifications such as CSA or CAD
2 years of experience in full‑stack web development using .NET or Angular
