Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Scrum or Agile. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale, or longer-term Scrum Master challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Senior Scrum Master to support a critical Balance Sheet product area in an enterprise environment. This role serves at the product-area (L2-partially L3) level, providing agile leadership across multiple delivery teams (minimum of 3–4). The position is a backfill due to an internal transition and is expected to step in quickly to maintain momentum and delivery stability.
The RTE will enable predictable, efficient delivery by coordinating release planning, removing cross‑team impediments, and driving scaling strategies while working closely with product, technology, and business partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Leadership & Delivery
Serve as the Release Train Engineer / Lead Scrum Master for a product area supporting multiple agile teams
Facilitate team‑level Scrum execution while operating at the product‑area level with product partners
Enable delivery planning, execution, and dependency management across multiple teams
Remove systemic and cross‑team impediments impacting delivery flow
Support resource and capacity adjustments when delivery needs shift
Scaling & Transformation
Lead and influence agile scaling and transformation efforts
Apply deep knowledge of agile principles, Scrum, and scaling strategies to improve delivery efficiency
Support modernization initiatives, including cloud migration to Azure
Partner with product leadership to ensure teams understand why solutions are being built and who they are being built for
Release & Change Management
Coordinate enterprise release delivery activities
Support change and release management processes, including Change Requests in ServiceNow
Ensure releases are planned, aligned, and executed predictably across teams
Coaching & Communication
Coach Scrum Masters, teams, and leaders toward high‑performing agile behaviors
Communicate effectively across technical, product, and business stakeholders
Confidently engage and challenge partners when needed
Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer, Lead Scrum Master, or Senior Scrum Master
Experience supporting multiple agile teams simultaneously (minimum of 3 teams)
Strong background in agile transformation and scaling
Experience operating in a large, enterprise environment
Strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum practices
Excellent facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
Ability to operate beyond tooling and understand delivery outcomes and business context
Proactive, delivery‑focused, and experienced in coaching teams
