Summary:
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Network Engineering and contribute to large-scale planning related to Network Engineering deliverables. Review and analyze moderately complex Network Engineering challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Network Engineering deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with client personnel in Network Engineering.
In this role, you will:
Participate in the installation, support and maintenance of network infrastructure
Provide technical support to end users regarding hardware and application issues
Troubleshoot networks, systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems
Integrate, maintain, and consolidate network services including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, wireless networks and network security
Develop and follow best practices and operational procedures
Maintain documentation and comply with service administrative procedures, including change management and ticket updates
Utilize security and regulatory policies to design and implement foolproof secured network solutions
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
2 years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2 years of WAN (Wide Area Network) experience
2 years of experience working in a large enterprise network organization.
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of network engineering configurating enterprise level routers and switches in a voice network infrastructure environment
Knowledge and understanding of technology support: operational support for network infrastructure (switches or routers)
Cisco Certifications (CCNA/CCNP)
Knowledge and understanding of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) and SIP networks
Knowledge and understanding of MS Azure cloud computing technology.
