Job Summary
We are seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and common areas at the Penn Wells Hotel and the Penn Wells Lodge. This role is responsible for ensuring all rooms are prepared for guest arrival according to established property standards.
Responsibilities
- Room Preparation: Clean guest rooms including vacuuming, dusting, changing linens, and making beds.
- Sanitization: Clean and disinfect bathrooms, including toilets, tubs, showers, and sinks.
- Supply Management: Replenish guest room amenities (soap, towels, coffee supplies) and notify management when supplies are low.
- Common Areas: Sweep, mop, and vacuum hallways, lobbies, and other public spaces as assigned.
- Maintenance Reporting: Identify and report any maintenance issues, such as burnt-out lightbulbs or leaking faucets, to the supervisor.
- Efficiency: Complete the assigned number of rooms within the scheduled shift.
Requirements
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow a specific cleaning checklist consistently.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance and punctuality are required to meet guest check-in deadlines.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Experience: Prior cleaning experience is preferred but not required; training on property-specific standards will be provided.
Work Environment
This position requires working independently in guest rooms and as part of a team in larger common areas. You will be expected to interact professionally with guests when encountered during your shift.
