About The Role

The Sealants PCC Journeyman is responsible for the installation of sealants, caulking, waterproofing, and firestopping systems on precast and concrete structures. This role requires traveling to various job sites within the region to complete high-quality, safety-focused installation work. Success in this position depends on strong craftsmanship, reliability, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a crew.

Salary range $50 - $53. Based on location and experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Install sealants, caulking, waterproofing, and firestopping systems
  • Seal precast and concrete joints per project specifications
  • Perform concrete patching and surface restoration as needed
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and jobsite equipment safely
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite, truck, and trailer
  • Follow direction from field supervisors and foremen
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Report issues or concerns to supervision in a timely manner
  • Support efficient completion of project scopes and schedules
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Who We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate is a dependable, hands-on construction professional with experience in sealants or related trades. They take pride in quality workmanship, follow safety standards closely, and work well in both team and independent environments. This individual is motivated, adaptable, and committed to completing projects efficiently and to a high standard.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • 2 years of construction experience preferred
  • Experience in sealants, waterproofing, or precast construction preferred
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety requirements and PPE use
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing work conditions
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required
  • Strong work ethic and self-motivation to complete tasks
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Professional attitude and commitment to quality workmanship

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.
