What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Wells Pharmacy Network?
SUMMARY
Assists in the compounding pharmacy to ensure quality products and care to customers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Performs data entry tasks for the department including input of letters, reports, license renewals on-line, and other tasks using various computer programs.
Performs practitioner license verifications.
Assists with reviewing quality assurance standards and existing pharmacy policies and procedures.
Assists with writing and reviewing quality assurance policies and procedures.
Assists with compiling statistical data and writing reports summarizing quality assurance findings.
Assists with regulatory training (i.e. respiratory, hazards communication, personal protective equipment, etc.)
Assists with assuring all personnel are meeting federal and state regulations regarding compounding, personal protective equipment, aseptic technique, etc.
Performs environmental monitoring, microbial assays, and endotoxin.
Performs QC visual inspection
Performs non-sterile Weight assessment
Performs release of API, raw materials, and end products
All other tasks as assigned by the Quality Control Management
EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE/ REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma and at least six months to one year related experience and/or training.
Must have 20/20 unaided or corrected vision.
Must not be colorblind.
