About this role:
This Sr. Technology Business Systems Consultant role will act as a senior level data analyst by providing subject matter expertise for data management and best practices to support the analysis and deliverables that are derived from datasets created by the DCIM application suite and enterprise data sources.
In this role, you will:
DCIM is part of the Data Center Planning and Engineering (DCPE) group whose responsibility it is to provide Structured Cabling (layer 1 - copper and fiber connectivity) design and Raised Floor (space/power) planning services to the Wells Fargo DCM Data Centers across the enterprise. The impact this group has on the overall ETI enterprise is to optimize the use of space/power/cabling in our critical facilities, ensuring that we utilize these extremely expensive resources effectively.
By supporting the DCIM application portfolio, this position ensures the life cycle of these tools is managed in a common way, while ensuring daily operations, change requests, upgrade roadmaps, user administration, and vendor interfaces are managed holistically, and operating costs are minimized. This position reports to the DCIM Manager.

In this role, you will:
- Act as s a senior level business consultant, working with information consumers within the Data Center Management (DCM) organization to understand reporting and data needs, document business requirements, and collaborate with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) SMEs to deliver timely and cost-effective solutions;
- Work with DCIM DARE (Data Aggregation & Reporting Environment) team members to define, implement, and maintain data management best practices to ensure the highest level of data integrity and accuracy across a wide spectrum of data domains internal and external to the DCM organization;
- Leverage Microsoft data management tools (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, Excel Power Pivot), and scripting tools (SQL, Python, VBScript) to develop and deploy sophisticated automation routines to support systems integration and information exchange between the DCIM suite of tools and external data sources;
- Support a comprehensive Data Quality Management program within DCM to provide transparency into the accuracy and completeness of data across data domains, with insights into data anomalies, exceptions, and remediation efforts by key stakeholders;
- Perform senior level routine data management tasks including ETL data loads, data analysis, exception reporting/handling, incident management, SQL script development/troubleshooting, and effective communication to data consumers and key stakeholders;
- Design, develop, and document data models to support the DCM Data Architecture with timely and accurate documentation including ERDs (entity relationship diagrams, workflow diagrams, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures;
- Develop SQL Scripts, stored procedures, and advanced excel VBScript automation to wrangle data in support of reports and dashboards created in Tableau, SSRS, and Excel;
- Contribute to product and strategy development and application road-mapping for the applications within the DCIM suite;
- Consult with DCM management, and other DCM key users and recommend process and procedure improvements and cost savings.
- 4 years of Business Systems Data experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3 years of technology delivery and relationship management experience with small and large business units in a large corporate environment
- 2 years of experience with data analysis and documentation
- 1 year of data center experience
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Technology application administration exposure; preferably within Wells Fargo
- Knowledge and understanding of application lifecycle, from design and development to testing, implementation and production support
- Knowledge and understanding of database applications
- Experience leading projects that require integration of multiple technology systems to deliver new functionality and user experience
- Ability to gather end-user requirements regarding reporting needs
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology end-user computing environments
- Ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with the principles/practices of:
- Developing highly collaborative relationships both internally and externally;
- Working knowledge of Data Center operations;
• Working knowledge of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools; - Knowledge of application Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC);
- Project management, timeline and milestone management;
- Experience developing metrics, performing trend analysis, and benchmarking.
- Understanding of Data Center capacity, power and thermal management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Experience working with SQL queries, excel templates and reporting tools and the ability to perform data collection and analysis.
- Ability to ensure software is accurate, reporting consistently across all Data Centers and data integrity is present.
- Experience designing product enhancements and working with internal SMEs and/or vendors to develop and implement future enhancements of the product(s).
- Ability to create and maintain business-side application requirements, process documentation, bulletins, service notes, updates, etc.
