Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (implementation, configuration, troubleshooting).
- Experience with internet-facing firewall environments and internal enterprise networks.
- Strong understanding of network security fundamentals (routing, switching, TCP/IP, security zones, ACLs).
- Experience with SIEM tools, specifically Splunk, for log analysis and troubleshooting.
- Infrastructure-focused security mindset (network security rather than broad cybersecurity).
- Experience with firewall platforms such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or similar enterprise technologies.
- Automation or scripting experience
- Exposure to cybersecurity concepts within an infrastructure or network security context.
- Relevant industry certifications.
