The ideal candidate has strong expertise in Apigee, IBM DataPower, Java development, cloud-native architectures, and API lifecycle management, with a passion for building scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and support of enterprise API and integration solutions.
- Drive complex API management initiatives across Apigee and DataPower platforms.
- Lead API migration efforts from IBM DataPower to Apigee while ensuring platform stability, scalability, and operational excellence.
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable APIs and microservices using Java and cloud-native technologies.
- Implement and enhance automation, DevOps processes, and CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, performance issues, and platform escalations.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to deliver strategic technology solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and support team members.
- Partner with stakeholders to drive API adoption, platform modernization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise security, governance, and API lifecycle management standards.

- 4 years of software engineering experience.
- 4 years of hands-on experience designing and developing APIs using Apigee.
- 4 years of Java development experience.
- 3 years of experience with JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.
- 2 years of experience developing microservices-based applications.
- 2 years of experience building cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or PCF.
- 2 years of experience with IBM DataPower or similar API gateway technologies.
- 2 years of experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server and MongoDB.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
