Product Manager

About This Role

Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Manager to join the Product and Transformation team within Unsecured Lending Operations (ULO), with primary focus on Collections and Recovery across the Assist and Recovery domains. This role blends product analyst and business validation responsibilities. The product manager will participate earlier in the product lifecycle to help clarify business needs, shape ready work, and identify risks, while also leading user acceptance testing and readiness validation for delivered capabilities. The role will also support emerging AI/ML initiatives, including AI/ML enabled payment assistance, recovery modernization, and related test-and-learn capabilities. This person will help evolve how Product validates capabilities by moving beyond basic test execution toward business-scenario validation, risk-based testing, end-to-end traceability, disciplined evidence capture, and fact-based readiness recommendations.

In This Role, You Will

• Participate in product discovery, backlog refinement, requirements reviews, and idea triage; analyze business needs, clarify scope, document decisions, and help translate ideas into actionable requirements, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
• Develop and execute risk-based, end-to-end UAT scenarios that validate customer journeys, operational workflows, integrations, data, decisioning, controls, exceptions, and downstream impacts across Collections and Recovery.
• Assess delivered capabilities against business intent, customer and operational needs, and applicable risk and control expectations; identify gaps, dependencies, edge cases, and readiness concerns early.
• Validate AI/ML-enabled capabilities, including model outputs, business rules, reason codes, source data, exception and fallback processes, human-review workflows, and comparison to current-state or baseline outcomes.
• Manage test data, evidence, defects, risks, assumptions, and traceability across requirements, acceptance criteria, test cases, results, and release decisions using approved product-delivery and test-management tools.
• Partner across Product, Technology, Operations, Data Science, Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Controls to resolve issues, communicate impacts, and provide clear, fact-based recommendations on release readiness.
• Support regression testing, production validation, post-implementation review, and continuous improvement of product analysis and validation practices, including reusable coverage and coordination with U.S.- and India-based partners.
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• 2 years of Business Execution, Business Analysis, Operations, Testing, Quality Assurance, Product Delivery, Risk, or Strategic Initiative experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  
  

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience performing business analysis or product analyst work, including discovery, backlog refinement, idea triage, requirements analysis, process mapping, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with user acceptance, functional, end-to-end, regression, production, or operational-readiness testing, including test data, evidence, defect management, and traceability.
• Experience in unsecured lending, customer service, or back-office operations.
• Ability to analyze end-to-end customer and operational processes, identify gaps and downstream impacts, and convert findings into clear decisions, recommendations, or ready work.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira, Confluence, Octane, or ALM; ability to organize multiple priorities and communicate status, risks, and readiness clearly.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a matrixed environment with Product Owners, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Data Science, Controls, and business subject-matter experts.
• Foundational understanding of AI/ML concepts or demonstrated interest in learning how AI/ML-enabled capabilities are analyzed, tested, governed, and monitored.
  
  

Job Expectations:

• Must be available to work on-site at the stated location identified in the job opening.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
• This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
• Ability to support occasional non-traditional business hours for release validation, production checkout, coordination with India-based teams, or off-hour deployments
