The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong systems engineering expertise, operational discipline, and the ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment.
In This Role, You Will
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- 4 years of Systems Engineering or Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience supporting payments platforms or high-availability, real-time transaction systems
- Proficiency with Linux/Unix administration, performance diagnostics, and log analysis
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, Elastic, or similar
- Familiarity with ITIL-aligned incident and problem management practices
- Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell) supporting automation and process optimization
- Knowledge of networking concepts, APIs, middleware technologies, and event-driven systems
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on reliability and stability
- Excellent collaboration skills for working across engineering teams and vendor partners
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, highly regulated financial environment
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule
