In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of the application which would integrate with 80 other Wells Fargo internal applications through MQ and Kafka.
- Strong experience in Java and J2EE Technologies.
- HAnds on knowledge of Apache Kafka Technology.
- Good understanding of Spring Boot / Spring Cloud framework.
- Good understanding of OOPS, Application Design principles, architecture styles and APIs (WCF/Web API/Rest API)
- Knowledge of industry best practices and tools for Dev-Ops and CI/CD pipeline.
- Good communication and experience working with offshore teams and external vendor.
- Experience in any of the Integration platforms such as Spring Integration, Apache Camel, IIB.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 4 years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4 years of J2EE experience
- 3 years of microservices development experience
- 2 years of experience with Camel framework
- 3 years of RESTful or SOAP web services
- 3 years of Java Web Services experience
- 2 years of MQ Series Messaging experience
Required Qualifications, International:
- Experience in Software Engineering, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- An industry-standard technology certification
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology
- API programming experience with Perl, XML, REST or JSON
- 3 years of SQL experience
- Experience customizing Splunk Dashboards via the XML source
- 2 years of JIRA experience
- 2 years of Agile experience
- Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
- Ability to lead projects/initiatives with high risk and complexity
- Leadership skills including the ability to influence effectively in a matrix environment
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills
- Ability to identify inefficiencies, opportunities to streamline business processes, and implement change

- Deep implementation knowledge on Micro-services architecture, framework and design patterns
