The Technology for the Chief Operating Office (TCOO) organization, led by Tiago Spritzer, provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office led by Scott Powell. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. TCOO provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.

The Chief Administrative Office (CAO) Technology group is seeking a Technology Leader who will be responsible for driving the end-to-end Technology strategy and delivery for CAO functions with a primary focus on supply chain management, enterprise resiliency and corporate security. The Leader will partner with key CAO leaders and the architecture team to determine architecture and design for CAO technology platforms.

Additionally, you will:
  • Be a recognized subject matter expert in the data engineering and app dev disciplines and build expert-to-expert relationships with similar SMEs across the enterprise
  • Build and lead software engineers across the CAO tech teams, with a core competency in building scalable, sustainable software solutions
  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Drive modernization of current application footprint
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications, US:
  • 8 years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4 years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • BS or higher in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
  • 10 years of experience in leading transformational technology programs
  • 5 years of experience in modern engineering practices, cloud migration
  • 5 years experience building data solutions at scale in a regulated environment
  • 5 years experience delivering large scale Technology platforms through product/agile delivery methods
  • 5 years experience developing central features for a shared, multi-tenant platform
  • 5 years experience with application experience, including planning, designing, building and implementing large, complex, systems and projects.
  • 3 years in Supply Chain management, Enterprise Resiliency, Corporate Properties, Corporate Security technology solutions and other related functions
  • Experience identifying key issues, involve affected parties, design solutions, obtain buy-in, and communicate effectively through resolution up to the Senior Business and Technology leaders/executives
  • Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Wells Fargo's size, scale and complexity
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, with senior executive-level leaders
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment
  • Proven experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen
  • Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
