Responsible for the supervision of the Shipping and Receiving Coordinators and supporting positions as they perform complex and diversified tasks associated with all inbound/outbound processes for the Logistics/Distribution organization.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for the supervision and development of 12-15 Shipping and Receiving Coordinators as they perform functions to support our order fulfillment and receiving activities.
- Develop and build capability of people as individuals and team though a variety of techniques and tools focused on motivation, teamwork, mentoring and coaching. Create a participative environment characterized by teamwork and partnership. Foster peer to peer accountability in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, and team.
- Coordinates the preparation of reports that are complicated in nature, ensures accuracy, and maintains the confidentiality of the information. This includes repots on Perfect Order, Mis-Ship results, CPU late, OS&D, On Time Loading and additional miscellaneous reports as needed.
- Utilize and supervise the necessary processes across functions to achieve designated performance goals. Takes ownership for the results of the operation from end-to-end by working within assigned team, as well as, across shifts and cross-functionally with departments that impact the desired results of the operation.
- Manges the labor cost for both shifts as well as assist with management on the non-labor costs to ensure business and budgetary needs are met including overseeing the payroll reports for the team.
- Support and maintain a continuous improvement (CI) culture across assigned work teams; serve as a leader of change. Actively identify opportunities to optimize scheduling, labor, etc. Supervising for improvement.
- Escalates key concerns/issues to senior management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of High School Diploma. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Preferred candidate has at least 2 years of supervisory experience, 3-5 years administrative support.
- Proficient with the Shipping and Receiving procedures, as well as OTM, EMS, Telnet, Payroll, and all other systems as assigned.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite- to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must possess strong communication (oral, presentation, and written) skills, Excellent Leadership, Communication, and Interpersonal Skills.
- Effective customer service skills.
- Ability to continuously identify and recommend opportunities for improvements to processes and Procedures.
- Ability to professionally maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work well within a close-knit team environment.
