The Micro Lab Technician provides microbiological and wet chemistry testing support to the operations of the facility.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity. EDUCATION List the minimum education required to be qualified for the position, including certifications or licenses. High school diploma required. Assoc Degree in Science, Microbiology or Food Science OR Demonstrated experience with food or nutritional products sanitation and cleaning or manufacturing/and or quality programs preferred. EXPERIENCE List experience preferred to be qualified for the position - SPECIFICATIONS List specifications required for the job and indicate the importance and proficiency levels of each. * Knowledge - Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency * Skills - Excellent written and oral communication skills. * Abilities - Ability to work in cold environment for 60-70% of the time. Ability to work on your feet up to 70% of the shift. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and organize departmental resources to meet business objectives. The base pay range for this position is $20.00 to $24.00 per Hourly plus night shift premium of $1.25. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.

The Micro Lab Technician provides microbiological and wet chemistry testing support to the operations of the facility.
- Perform quality chemical analysis on samples for: fat, solids, acidity, pH, etc. Complete bacterial analysis on samples.
- Procure samples from various process points: raw silos, product silos, univats, production lines, etc.
- Confirm proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment. Properly document all quality checks and tagging of approved tanks. Conduct ATP / Allergen testing as required.
- Review Mix standardization calculations, product flavor / color analysis.
- Generate and maintain formulation information for daily mixes including formulation usage information, raw silo test results, and other data entry as required. Record Mix standardization calculations and conduct color mixing / weighing of selected raw materials.
- Ensure isolation of suspect product via hold notices and communicate concerns with product quality to production and quality management.
