Key Requirements
- Supervise and monitor youth progress based on skill development and maturity, following individualized supervision and safety plans.
- Orient new clients upon program entry and clearly communicate expectations.
- Collaborate with Life Coaches and program staff to create and implement individualized plans for each youth.
- Teach and reinforce life skills tailored to client needs, including grocery shopping, personal care, daily living tasks, communication, budgeting, community living, social skills, and mobility.
- Document at least four individualized independent living skills development activities per youth each week, aligned with their goals.
- Provide job readiness support, including résumé writing, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
- Support and monitor weekly budgeting and basic financial management skills.
- Ensure youth have access to emergency support by providing relevant contact information.
- Maintain secure access to youth residences for safety and support, including proper handling of keys.
- Reinforce program expectations to promote safety, personal growth, and life skill development.
- Assist youth in engaging with recreational and leisure activities within the community.
- Utilize evidence-informed practices to support positive behavior change and implement individualized service plans.
- Ensure supervision practices allow observation of healthy life skills and sound decision-making.
- Participate in service meetings with team members and other professionals as appropriate.
- Maintain supervision standards and ensure youth are emotionally and physically safe at all times.
- Accurately document all reportable and non-reportable incidents and notify appropriate parties per program guidelines.
- Promote social and financial independence among youth, reducing the need for direct oversight.
- Establish consistent schedules, routines, and engaging environments for youth in the program.
- Assist clients in accessing medical, dental, mental health, and educational services.
- Provide transportation for youth to appointments, interviews, job fairs, school, and work as needed.
- Complete all required documentation and recordkeeping accurately and on time.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
- Allocate work hours to caseload responsibilities as directed by the supervisor.
- Maintain required certifications and complete ongoing training.
- Adhere to organizational policies and demonstrate support for the agency’s mission, vision, and values.
- Administer life skills assessments at scheduled intervals to monitor progress and guide service planning.
Qualifications:
Requirements
• 21 Years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university in the area of human services, social work, non-profit management or behavioral health is preferred; Master’s Degree in Social Work also preferred
• Minimum two years of work experience in a State of Georgia-regulated child welfare program is required; experience working with older adolescent population preferred
• Possess a valid Georgia driver’s license
• Computer skills including basic proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Power point, Excel and ability to perform data entry tasks
• Be familiar with and perform duties in accordance with RBWO (Room Board and Watchful Oversight) standards.
• Subject to flexible hours, including split shifts or varied days and times, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, depending on program needs
• Regularly travel in the community, drives an agency-owned vehicle, and transports clients
• Must participate in at least twenty-four (24) hours of annual training. At least twelve (12) hours should be directly related to work with teens including understanding developmental needs of adolescents and strength-based assessments

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language at a level that meets the performance requirements
• Ability to make independent decision when circumstances warrant such action • Ability and willingness to maintain a positive demeanor
• Ability to effectively communicate with others
• Willingness to respect the lifestyle choices of others, including but not limited to sexuality, religion, and political affiliation
• Ability to implement any therapeutic intervention as required
• Consistent demonstration of emotional stability
• Ability and willingness to follow deadlines and/or complete assignments/trainings as assigned by supervisor
Work Requirements
• Regularly travel in the community, drives an agency-owned vehicle, and transports clients
• Work in a variety of settings • Sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, move, squat, climb stairs, reach above shoulder level, kneels, pus, or pull intermittently during working hours • Has regular contact with clients and their staff, family members, and the general public
• May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset clients, staff, family members, or the general public
• May be subject to physically aggressive clients and may be required to apply crisis intervention strategies
• May be required to assist clients in hygiene
• Attend and participate in a variety of educational programs designed to increase knowledge and expertise in the field • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
