What are the responsibilities and job description for the Occupational and Wellness Nurse (RN) position at Wellness Works?
A different kind of nursing! Opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse (currently licensed in NH to join a flexible and supportive team in a fast-growing company. Essential role will be to provide occupational health and wellness services to a local manufacturing company in the Lebanon area. The right candidate will be trained as needed. Part-time opening available (three days a week) with the opportunity for flexibility regarding which days as well as start times. This is a job that can work around childcare drop offs/pick ups or other committments.
The primary responsibility of the Occupational Health and Wellness Nurse is to provide excellent care to clients in the workplace. The role requires the provision of comprehensive, compassionate care that is delivered to a diverse population. This person will provide occupational health services, provide wellness care (including education), and maintain employee health records with confidentiality. Must have own transportation and live in the greater Lebanon area or have plans to move to the area.
The right person will be self-motivated, have the ability to take initiative, and possess a willingness to learn new skills. Occupational Health experience preferred but not necessary, as we will train the right person.

- Demonstrates enthusiasm to provide nursing care for employees.

- Ability to work independently and demonstrate strong critical thinking skills.
- Triages injured or sick employees to appropriate level of care.
- Provides Case Management services for workers compensation injuries.
- Works with individual employees to improve overall health through changes in modifiable risk factors for disease.
- Collaborates with leadership to meet wellness and safety objectives.
- Promotes employee goals that are specific, measurable, action-oriented, realistic, and timely.
- Displays strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Current registration in New Hampshire and Vermont.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- One-year experience or more is preferred.
Experience:
- Experience with wellness-oriented nursing preferred but not required.
- Occupational Health experience preferred but will train the right candidate.
Communication skills:
- Demonstrates highly effective verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Communicates in a professional, courteous, clear, and concise manner.
- Collaborates with Safety Director on relevant matters of health and safety.
- Independently gives presentations to staff on significant health and wellness topics.
