Job Overview

Mondays and Thursdays 10am-1:30pm then 2:00pm-5:30pm for two different clients in the same building.
Tuesdays and Fridays 10am-2pm
Responsibilities
1. Assist with Daily Living Activities:
- Provide support with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist with mobility, including transfers from bed to wheelchair and help with walking.
2. Meal Preparation and Feeding:
- Prepare and serve meals according to the client’s dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure proper hydration and provide assistance with feeding as needed.
3. Household Maintenance:
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dusting, sweeping, and maintaining a clean living environment.
- Handle laundry, including washing, drying, and folding clothes.
4. Companionship and Emotional Support:
- Engage in meaningful conversation and activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Accompany clients on walks or other light physical activities as desired.
5. Errand Services:
- Run essential errands, such as grocery shopping and picking up prescriptions, on behalf of the client.
6. Safety Monitoring:
- Monitor the home environment for potential safety hazards and assist in minimizing risks, such as falls.
- Ensure all assistive devices are in place and properly used.
7. Client Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of the care provided, including any changes in the client’s condition.
- Communicate regularly with family members or healthcare providers as needed.
Experience
Required:
-Pass a background check
-Have a reliable vehicle AND Valid drivers license with minimum insurance coverage
-Willingness to complete on-the-job training
- Experience in caregiving or related field
- Has CPR and first aid
- Familiarity with long-term care practices
- Ability to work with individuals with disabilities
Nice-to-have:
- Background in direct support or home care service.
