FULLY Licensed Therapist (Salary)

Wellness Counseling provides behavioral health services and substance abuse counseling for teens and adults within a supportive and welcoming environment. Our focus is on delivering compassionate care tailored to each individual's needs. Our team consists of highly trained, Master's-level therapists licensed by the State of Michigan who are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of our clients.

This is a contract, hybrid role for a FULLY Licensed Therapist based in Southgate, MI, with opportunities for remote work. The therapist will provide evidence-based counseling and therapeutic services for individuals, couples, and families. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, providing counseling sessions, maintaining detailed clinical documentation, and collaborating with other professionals to support client care. The therapist will focus on helping clients work through behavioral health challenges and substance use issues, promoting healthier outcomes.

• Experience in individual, group, or family therapy with a strong understanding of evidence-based practices and treatment planning
• Active and fully licensed therapist credential in the State of Michigan (e.g., LMSW, LPC, LMFT)
• Knowledge of behavioral health services and substance abuse counseling approaches
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for documentation
• Ability to maintain ethical boundaries, confidentiality, and professionalism
• Comfort with providing hybrid counseling services, including in-person and remote sessions
• Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred
• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
• Previous experience working with teen and adult populations is an advantage
