About Wellness Coach
Wellness Coach is a global AI powered wellness platform that inspires and engages workforces through personalized wellness offerings. We offer Challenges, Coaching, Rewards, Next Generation EAP, Weight Management and Disease management to support overall health.
Backed by Softbank NY, Zoom Ventures, and Accomplice, we are scaling rapidly and seeking ambitious, self-driven team members who are passionate about wellness and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Description
As the Lifecycle & Engagement Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to drive user activation, engagement, retention, and loyalty across the Wellness Coach platform. You will own the communication strategy across various channels (email, in-app messaging, push notifications) to guide users through their journey and maximize the value they get from our AI-powered wellness offerings. You will report to the Marketing leadership and partner closely with Product, Data, and Sales teams.
Bring proven strategies that drive real behavior change across wellness moments—starting strong, staying consistent, and coming back after drop-off. You’ll design lifecycle approaches that feel human, timely, and motivating (not spammy), and that scale across different user needs and engagement levels.
Build and optimize triggered journeys in IterableYou’ll be the in-house expert in Iterable, owning:
- Customer journeys and orchestration
- Triggered messaging logic (based on behavior and milestones)
- Experimentation and performance optimization inside journeys
- Continuous iteration of onboarding, adoption, habit loops, and winback flows
You’ll own and evolve the reporting that guides what we build next:
- Funnels that reveal where users drop off (and why)
- Cohorts that show what drives retention
- Dashboards that act as our lifecycle source of truth
- Collaboration on event definitions and measurement plans so insights stay reliable
Partner with Marketing Ops to ensure our lifecycle foundation stays strong:
- audience segments and lifecycle stages
- property definitions and governance
- naming conventions, suppression logic, and list hygiene
- alignment between CRM truth and lifecycle execution
Bring ideas and frameworks for engagement beyond email/push:
- Slack nudges that drive invites and challenge participation
- Teams reminders that improve attendance and follow-through
- Zoom follow-ups that turn sessions/webinars into sustained engagement
- adoption lift tracking (who connects, who engages, what changes)
This role thrives on partnership. You’ll work hand-in-hand with:
- Product / Engineering / Modular on instrumentation, triggers, and channel capabilities
- UX on message moments, tone, and in-app engagement strategy
- Marketing Ops on data quality, governance, and scalability
What success looks like
- Activation & Onboarding: Measurable improvement in the percentage of users completing key onboarding milestones and achieving their first "aha" moment.
- Retention & Engagement: Significant lift in Weekly Active Users (WAU) and reduction in churn rate for both employee and admin users.
- Campaign Performance: High open rates, click-through rates (CTR), and conversion rates across all lifecycle campaigns, demonstrating relevance and effectiveness.
- Experimentation: A consistent cadence of A/B tests and a clear process for documenting and scaling winning strategies.
- Data-Driven Insights: Regular delivery of insights that inform the broader product and marketing roadmap.
What you’ll bring
- 3 years of experience in Lifecycle, CRM, or Engagement Marketing, preferably in a B2B SaaS, health, or wellness tech environment.
- Hands-on expertise with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., Braze, HubSpot, Iterable, Marketo) for building complex, personalized customer journeys.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to translate data (SQL familiarity a plus) into clear marketing strategies and actionable insights.
- Deep understanding of segmentation, A/B testing, and optimization best practices for email, push, and in-app messaging.
- Experience in developing content and messaging that resonates with distinct user segments (e.g., HR admins vs. employees).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on crafting compelling, benefit-driven copy.
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and remote startup environment.
