EDUCATION: Associate degree required or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years minimum materials experience in production and scheduling.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position will also work very closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to plan production schedules and resource requirements, i.e. workforce planning and equipment capacity planning. Work outputs will be used for financial forecasting, customer commitments, resource planning, capital purchases and supplier base planning.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Must be knowledgeable and proficient in MRP systems.
- Strong computer skills required, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact when working with cross-functional teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have good time management and be detail oriented.
- Develop monthly production schedules at raw material, subassembly (core) and parent part number level.
- Create resource requirement plan for workforce and key equipment.
- Ongoing analysis of production capacities and recommended adjustments.
- Plan and maintain the Wellman production schedule to drive on time delivery of product and productivity of manufacturing.
- Daily maintenance of current materials requirement (MRP) systems and implement process improvements.
- Control the flow of appropriate inventory and supplies to the production floor ensuring that the proper materials are available and accurate to meet production needs.
- Inventory control (cycle counts)
- Create standard routers and alternates to the routers if needed
- Understand order deck commit dates and schedule according to lead times to meet the agreed upon ship date
