GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Clean surface area to paint markings on core boxes in the correct location. (Check each and every core box for defects, and report anything to the pattern shop.
SUMMARY:
Must have good vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination. Must be able to follow written work instructions. Must be able to multitask and meet production goals and deadlines. Must be team-oriented and have good communication skills. Must have great attention to detail. Must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis. Must be able to grip, push, and pull with 80lb strength on a regular basis. Must be able to generate 15lbs of pinch strength on occasion. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical. Must be able to perform elevated work on an occasional basis. Some tasks require repetitive activities. Must be able to stand on concrete up to 8 hours. Must be willing to cross-train within the classification. Must be able to follow all safety rules and wear all required personal protective equipment. Must be able to maintain a clean workstation and clean equipment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
- Clean and paint all the core boxes.
- Read the chill cards, core making work instructions, and mark all areas with the correct chill in that area.
- Take pictures of all the markings and work with Technical Assistant to incorporate into the work instruction.
- Communicate with engineering to make corrections if needed.
- Attention to detail to be able to check patterns for any broken pieces or Knicks in the pattern to be corrected before going into production.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Retrieve and replace box to specified storage location and maintain tool organization.
