Material Control Specialist has experience in manufacturing. They are characterized by excellent organizational and record-keeping skills. Responsibilities
- To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.
- Major Function and Scope
- Creating material requirement plans, applying for purchase of all raw materials and auxiliary materials, composing purchase order forms, and maintaining ERP system data.
- Maintaining product information sheets, organizing and preparing BOM lists and new product production process.
- Tracking material status, creating shortage lists, and following up on raw material delivery schedules; tracking import material shipping schedules.
- Handling material abnormalities during production; monitoring raw material issuance, returns, over-issuance, and borrowing, and managing materials in the system work orders.
- Verifying and controlling material inbound, outbound, and inventory; regularly clearing obsolete materials, planning and implementing inventory structure and quantities to reduce obsolete materials, and optimizing cash flow and storage space.
Requirements
Knowledge, Experience, and Competencies
• 2 years' experience in logistics, sourcing, inventory management role or related experience
• Ability to lead team members.
• ERP Knowledge
• Familiarity with manufacturing and inventory management systems
• Knowledgeable of forecasting and budgeting
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Power user of Excel. Knowledgeable on how to create formulas and manage any skill in Excel.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid, and cold temperatures.
