Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Controller to lead our financial oversight and strategic financial planning efforts. Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger management using advanced construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, or Prolog.
• Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure adherence to financial plans for multiple construction projects.
• Coordinate with project managers to establish realistic construction schedules, manage project timelines, and ensure alignment with budget constraints.
• Lead the preparation of financial reports, including cash flow statements, variance analyses, and project cost summaries for executive review.
• Ensure compliance with construction regulations and safety standards by reviewing contracts, permits, and construction plans regularly.
• Manage teams involved in construction estimating, project scheduling, and cost management to optimize resource allocation and project delivery.
• Utilize project management software to track progress, update schedules, and facilitate effective communication among stakeholders.
• Read blueprints and construction plans accurately to support cost estimation and schedule coordination efforts.
• Implement best practices in construction regulatory compliance and safety standards across all projects.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements in construction project management workflows.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Controller or senior finance leader within the construction industry, particularly with complex infrastructure or commercial projects.
• Extensive knowledge of construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid or similar software.
• Strong background in construction schedule coordination using Primavera P6 or Civil 3D is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability managing teams in a construction management role with a focus on cost control and project scheduling.
• Hands-on experience with construction regulatory compliance, contracts management, and blueprint reading.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) along with familiarity with project management software platforms like ProCore or Primavera P6.
• Solid understanding of construction regulations governing safety standards and environmental compliance.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
