Accounting Associate
As an Accounting Associate, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. What you'll do
- Perform data entry for financial transactions with precision and speed.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Assist in general ledger accounting by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Support payroll management processes, including data entry and verification.
- Collaborate with team members to analyze financial data and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Workday, or Sage to streamline processes.
Basic qualifications
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping and 10-key typing skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with SOX compliance, governmental accounting, or non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP or Paychex.
- Knowledge of technical accounting practices and corporate accounting is advantageous.
