Wealth Management group seeking Fixed Income Operations & Portfolio Associate
We are an Independent Wealth Management team catering to high-net-worth families seeking a detail oriented, professional and discreet team member to work in our fixed income operations and portfolio associate role. Ideal candidate has high energy, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow as a contributing member of our team.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work closely with the team’s portfolio manager and will be responsible for:
• Allocating and processing fixed income trades done with the street and across client accounts;
• Preparing and reviewing portfolio analytics and performance reports;
• Monitoring portfolio characteristics, cash positions, and investment guidelines;
• Assisting with trade reconciliation and maintaining accurate portfolio records;
• Utilizing portfolio management and trading systems to ensure timely and accurate execution;
• Assisting with investment research and other projects as needed;
• Communicating with client base requiring an intelligent, confident and engaging demeanor in every conversation;
• Providing general office and administrative support during periods of lighter trading activity.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred;
• 3 years experience in investment management, wealth management, trading operations, or portfolio administration;
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to build complex spreadsheets and analyze large data sets across several spreadsheets. Must effortlessly execute VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, INDEX/MATCH, IF/THEN functions;
• Meticulous organizational skills;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Value direct, timely communication and be comfortable conducting business by telephone;
• Self-motivated, dependable, and desire to take ownership of a variety of responsibilities;
• Knowledge of fixed income securities is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
