Responsibilities
- Monitor residents’ health by observing and reporting on vital signs, behavior changes, and overall condition
- Assist with meal service, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Regularly monitor resident smoking areas ensuring safety of residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive atmosphere
Qualifications
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), and hospice or palliative care practices
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations of seniors and individuals with disabilities
