Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Wound Care Center on a full-time basis, working daytime hours. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in wound management, patient assessment, and comprehensive nursing care. Job Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) Job Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
- Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
- BLS (current upon hire)
- ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in required specialty.
- Current Florida nursing license.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, wound evaluation, and medical history review to develop individualized care plans.
- Administer wound treatments such as dressings, debridement, and advanced therapies.
- Manage complex cases involving chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, pressure injuries, and post-surgical wounds with precision and compassion.
- Educate patients and families on wound care techniques, prevention strategies, and medication administration to promote healing and prevent recurrence.
- Document all patient interactions accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures while adhering to infection control protocols.
- Monitor for signs of infection or complications, escalating concerns promptly in accordance with hospital policies or outpatient clinic standards.
