Responsibilities
- Assist with heavy lifting and material transportation around the construction site using hand tools and power tools
- Corn blasting, staining and painting with a sprayer
- Read blueprints and construction plans to understand project requirements and execute tasks accurately
- Conduct demolition, renovation, restoration, or framing work as needed to prepare sites for new construction or repairs
- Use hand tools and power tools for carpentry, trim carpentry, roofing, caulking, plastering, flooring installation, and other finishing tasks
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and inspecting equipment regularly
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while ensuring high-quality workmanship
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to interpret blueprints or schematics is a plus
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing throughout the workday
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to construction environments is essential for success
