Job description
Shift: 11:30-7:30 Every Tuesday, Friday, and every other weekend
Temporary position for 3-6 months.
Must complete a cooking demonstration before hiring process.
## Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various culinary environments such as catering, dietary departments, food management, and leadership roles within the food industry.
## Responsibilities
- Prepairing food daily as outlined on weekly menu plan
- Altering or adapting recipes to accomodate special dietary needs of residents or improve recipes.
- Preparing meats for storage and portion control upon deliver and ensure proper storage of all delivered foods and ingedients.
- Maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe kitchen environment.
- Ensuring proper handling, labeling, and storage of food for infection control.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Coordinating and participating in serving food.
- Monitoring portion control to meed redidents' requests and minimize waste.
- successful completion of all ongoing education requirements.
## Requirements
- Proven experience working in a culinary role, preferably in a restaurant or food service management setting
- Excellent leadership skills to guide and motivate kitchen staff effectively
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
