Wellhaven Home Care Columbia is looking for a driven Director of Operations to lead a team that facilitates a premiere client experience, oversees care professionals, ensures regulatory compliance, and creates exceptional culture.

Responsibilities and Duties
Facilitate A Premiere Client Experience
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and their support structures (families, neighbors, health care professionals, etc.)
- Maintain accurate client records, both physical and electronic, in compliance with HIPAA, SC Department of Public Health (DPH,) SC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS,) and any other regulatory bodies, in conjunction with other Wellhaven Home Care staff
- Participate in initial and periodic client assessments
- Initiate and oversee care plan development in coordination with the Care Coordinator(s)
- Ensure accurate billing processes, working closely with the Administrator
- Support the Director of Community Relations in the effort to promote the Wellhaven brand in the community and acquire new clients
Ensure Regulatory Compliance
- Maintain understanding of SC DPH regulations and SC DHHS policies and platforms regarding the HCBS and DDSN waiver programs
- Record documentation in WellSky Personal Care and Phoenix Provider Portal
- Help define the Plan of Care according to the waiver authorizations
- Communicate with WHC staff and DHHS Case Managers regarding client status
- Conduct initial and periodic supervisory nursing visits to WHC clients under the DHHS waiver programs
Oversee the Team of Care Professionals
- Superentend the path to Wellhaven Way Certified Caregivers
- Lead Care Coordinator(s), Care Specialists, and Care Coaches through weekly huddles, monthly 1:1’s, and ad hoc coaching opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all government and regulatory practices regarding employee processes and reporting
- Oversee the recruiting process for new employees, devising and implementing strategies for effectiveness and efficiency
- Manage schedules and communicate with clients, responsible parties, and employees to ensure planning and fulfillment of service opportunities
- Ensure accurate time-keeping and payroll processes in coordination with the Care Coordinator(s) and Administrator
Create Exceptional Culture
- Embody and champion the Wellhaven Home Care Values
- Maintain active presence in our Irmo office and community
- Serve as a point of contact for all Wellhaven Columbia matters via phone, email, and text
- Review KPI’s and budgets with the Care Team and the Executive Team
- Represent Wellhaven Home Care with clients, employees, case workers, vendors, health care professionals and the general public
- Uphold highest standard of personal and professional conduct
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- Minimum of 3 year experience in an organizational leadership capacity
- Experience in the senior industry, home care, or health care field preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency with computers, software programs, online platforms and mobile devices
- Must be able to pass drug screen and background check
Preferred Knowledge Of:
- Google Workspace Applications
- Data Entry Platforms (for Health Services, Sales, Marketing)
- Medical and Senior Industry terminology
