You will be responsible for bathing, grooming, and providing excellent care for pets while maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Provide thorough bathing and grooming services for various breeds of dogs and other pets.
- Safely handle and restrain animals during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Maintain cleanliness of the bathing area and grooming tools to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist in drying, brushing, and styling pets as per owner specifications.
- Monitor pets for any signs of distress or health issues during grooming sessions.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pet’s needs and grooming preferences.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
- Assist with kennel duties as needed, including feeding, walking, and caring for animals in our facility.
Requirements
- Previous experience in animal care or grooming is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong skills in animal restraint and handling to ensure safety during grooming processes.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners.
- Familiarity with general pet care practices, including bathing techniques and grooming tools.
- A passion for animals and commitment to providing high-quality care.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
